This Youth Minecraft Club is designed specifically for learners ages 5-8 and focuses on connection, creativity, teamwork, and fun. Young learners can talk about Minecraft, hobbies, favorite builds, and age-appropriate interests while practicing respectful communication and good sportsmanship.

A Private Server Built for Safe Social Play

This class uses a private, whitelisted Minecraft server that is only available to currently enrolled learners during scheduled class sessions.

In-game chat is monitored, Zoom is used for live class communication, and learners are expected to be kind, respectful, safe, and age-appropriate at all times.

The goal is simple: create a welcoming gaming club where learners can have fun, make friends, and enjoy Minecraft in a structured environment.

Required:

This class is compatible with Minecraft: Java Edition on a computer. Learners join using their own Java Edition Minecraft account.

Not Supported:

Bedrock, console, Android, and iOS versions are not supported for this server-based class.

Version Support:

The server supports Java Edition versions listed in the class details. Please check the current class listing before joining.

Outschool Safety:

Learners must use their enrolled first name on Zoom and briefly verify identity by video before entering class.

General Expectations:

  • Be kind and respectful to classmates and the teacher.
  • Use appropriate language in Zoom and Minecraft chat.
  • Do not share personal information or external links.
  • Take turns speaking and allow others to participate.
  • Practice good sportsmanship during competitive games.

Server Expectations:

  • No cheating, hacked clients, unauthorized mods, glitches, or exploits.
  • No griefing, stealing, bullying, or targeted negative behavior.
  • Use approved items only and respect other players’ builds.
  • Follow game mode rules and teacher directions.
  • Unsafe or highly disruptive behavior may result in removal.

Parental Discretion for Competitive Game Modes:

  • Some optional game modes include competitive player-vs-player (PvP) gameplay.
  • These modes are intended for learners who enjoy higher challenge and fast-paced competition.
  • Participation in these modes is always optional.
  • Competitive game modes are separate from standard class activities and are available only during designated gameplay periods.

Competitive Gameplay Rules:

  • Some competitive game modes may involve elimination, raiding, resource competition, or defending objectives as part of gameplay.
  • These mechanics are limited to the specific game mode and are part of the intended rules.
  • No actual learner progression, permanent stats, or earned items are lost.
  • These activities are for fun and designed as temporary mini-game experiences.
